If you are here as a person in recovery please read on. This site is for you!
We know this might feel like the worst experience of your life. We also know this might be the best day of the rest of your life! By starting the journey of sobriety and recovery you are on a path to turning your life around.
The members of INSIGHT Support Groups have been through what you are experiencing. While we have felt the guilt and shame, and share many of the same fears you may be experiencing right now, we are coming out on the other side. We are here to tell you there will be good days, there will be bad days, but the bad days get fewer and the good days become great days.
Sobriety is a continual and maintained abstinence from alcohol or drugs. Achieving sobriety typically requires a period of detoxification and in some cases medical supervision.
Recovery is a life-long process. It is a way of living your life that empowers you to maintain your sobriety while simultaneously living the life you want for yourself.
Sobriety & Recovery are a path. It is a path you walk as you journey through life and ultimately it will lead you towards health and happiness. While there are others who walk the same path, only you can make your journey–one step, one day at a time.
